Role description:

Nym is seeking an experienced and passionate Research Team Lead to drive innovation in our growing R&D team. In this role, you will lead a team of NLP research engineers and linguists, developing cutting-edge machine learning solutions for our core products. You will collaborate with stakeholders to identify key business challenges, prioritize research efforts, and deliver high-impact AI solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of 5 NLP Research-Engineers and 3 Linguist Analysts, while overseeing technical and personal aspects.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the team.
• Provide expertise in classical Machine Learning and Deep Learning methodologies.
• Oversee the development, deployment, and support of critical ML models.
• Plan and execute medium- to long-term projects, ensuring smooth progression from research to deployment.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to integrate ML solutions into our platform.
• Identify emerging trends and algorithmic advancements to enhance our products.
• Represent the team in technical and managerial meetings, coordinating across functions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience managing or technically leading a team of ML Research-Engineers, from brainstorming to deployment.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing Deep Learning algorithms.
• Strong background in NLP and Deep Learning fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with Deep Learning frameworks.
• Experience leading long-term research and development projects in the industry.
• Advanced knowledge in Information Retrieval, Entity Linking, and Graph Representations.
