JOB SUMMARY
The Principal Business Intelligence Developer is an experienced Analytics professional who works with the Data and Analytics team to develop and deploy rich, clear dashboards to measure key performance indicators and other financial and business related metrics. This position focuses primarily on the creation and maintenance of scalable business intelligence solutions that improve decision-making processes by fully understanding stakeholder reporting and business requirements, enabling the appropriate data sources and models and ultimately building the required dashboards. The Principal Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for designing and implementing data storage solutions, developing complex reporting systems, and ensuring data accuracy and quality assurance testing and accessibility for stakeholders.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities % TIME
- Responsible for translating business needs into technical solutions by designing and developing complex dashboards with Power BI to advance visualization techniques to meet business requirements, promote clear and effective insights while ensuring data accuracy and consistency. 15%
- Data Analysis and Visualization: Assist in analyzing data to model Ideal customer profiles, identify key trends, patterns, and insights. Translate data findings into compelling visualizations that aid in understanding complex datasets. Support business insights through the development of descriptive and diagnostic reporting by selecting appropriate visuals to identify trends and outliers. 15%
- Responsible for incorporating new data sources from third party applications for use in dashboards and reports, in conjunction with the data enablement team. 15%
- Partner with the data science team to optimize database objects based upon business requirements. 10%
- Support production reports and production environment. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data refresh, capacity usage, connectivity, and performance. 10%
- Implement and influence best practices regarding topics like creative and communicative visualization techniques, dashboard and data model optimization for load speeds and capacity utilization, and other Power BI topics. 10%
- Enable and empower the businesses and segments to access and interpret reports and dashboards, and to utilize the available reporting tools efficiently and effectively. 10%
- Develop end-to-end solutions for performant ingestion, storage, processing, and integration of disparate sourced data. 10%
- Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams, including both technical and business stakeholders to align solutions with business objectives and technical requirements. 5%

QUALIFICATIONS
Education Level Required/ Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Master's Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, or related area preferred
Work Experience Required/Preferred
- Typically 10+ years in business intelligence and/or analytics - required
- Typically 5+ years experience in Power BI as a dashboard developer - required
- Typically 3+ years B2B Analytics experience - required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in Business Intelligence tools SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI Desktop, including advanced data modeling, DAX and Power Query.
- Strong background in ETL processes related to the Power BI toolset.
- Proficiency in optimizing data models for large datasets and improving performance by enhancing backend processes, data models, database views, and SQL queries
- Expertise with SQL and handling complex large datasets in Dashboards
- Power BI Admin experience
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data refresh, capacity usage, connectivity and performance.
- Experience developing QA/UAT process.
- Database management and optimization
- Highly effective collaboration and communication skills
- Project management skills
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders
- Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Experience with Sales or Marketing Analytics or Data science related work including ICP, churn propensity and campaign effective/multi touch attribution
- Integrate and analyze data from various sources, including first and third-party B2B data such as D&B, ZoomInfo, Bombora, Crunchbase, Gong, etc.

The salary range for this role is $106,300.00 to $233,800.00. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience.
A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
