AWS Data Engineer

Overview

Build robust data pipelines, ensure high data quality, and support real-time/batch data movement across the platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue, EMR, and Lambda.
• Manage ingestion from various sources (APIs, databases, files).
• Develop transformation logic and metadata frameworks.
• Optimize data lake performance (partitioning, compression, query tuning).
• Implement data validation and quality monitoring.
• Collaborate on data modeling and storage formats (Parquet, ORC, Delta).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or equivalent.
• AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty (preferred).

Experience

• Strong experience with Python, PySpark, SQL.
• Hands-on with AWS services like Glue, S3, Kinesis, and Lake Formation.
• Knowledge of schema evolution, lineage tracking, and DQ frameworks.
