As an Intermediate Manual Tester, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our financial waterfall software. You will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining test cases, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues. Your advanced Excel skills and expertise in T-SQL scripting will be essential in analyzing test results and managing test data effectively.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

• Develop and execute test plans and test cases for financial waterfall software. 

• Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing. 

• Utilize advanced Excel skills to create and manage test data, analyze results, and generate reports. 

• Write and execute advanced T-SQL scripts for data validation, testing purposes, and to support testing activities. 

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on software functionality. 

• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring timely resolution. 

• Conduct root cause analysis of defects and work with the development team to implement corrective actions. 

• Participate in test automation initiatives and contribute to the development of automated test scripts as needed. 

• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and quality assurance. 

 

Qualifications: 

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

• 2-5 years of experience in manual testing, with a focus on financial software or similar applications. 

• Strong expertise in advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis tools. 

• Proficient in T-SQL scripting for data validation and testing purposes. 

• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
