We are seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Manager to lead and develop our analytics teams that will support our extended teams in North America with hypothesis generation, bespoke analytical approaches to make actionable and insightful recommendations to shape strategic initiatives and achieve business objectives. The analysis context may range from customer, campaign, marketing to promotion, policy changes and merchandising. A leader with broad business adjacent expertise will be successful in this role of leading and developing junior team members and coaching them in simplifying complex analyses for executive consumption

Key Responsibilities:
 

1. Team Leadership:

- Build/lead a team of analysts with high business ownership and accountability.  

- Foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the team.

- Provide strategic guidance on projects and development guidance, which help build Saks Global  future leaders. Actively mentors team members focused on analytics, modeling, reporting to be user-centric in delivering high quality results

- Needs to be a self starter and build proactive solutions for the business .

2. Analytical Strategy Development:

- Define and implement the analytics strategy to support customer-focused initiatives.

- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure customer engagement, satisfaction, and overall experience.

- Influence business leaders, peers and technology partners to mature data foundations, analytics capabilities and mathematical applications that drive the business.

- Provide thought leadership in how we measure a business area from the code that we use to collect data all the way to the application of the insights you derive from reports and analysis based on that data - to hold products and businesses accountable for results against goals and objectives

3. Customer Analysis & Reporting:

- Support the business with timely insights and data products that inform and optimize decisions across functional areas including, Product Management, UX, Technology, Marketing, and MerchandisingConduct in-depth analysis of customer data, including segmentation, behavior analysis, and predictive modeling.

- Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards to provide insights to senior leadership and various stakeholders.

- Democratize data and insights as you strive to deliver self-service tools to your partners and enable them to make better decisions quicker

4. Customer Insights:

- Utilize data to identify customer trends and inform product and marketing strategies.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product development, and sales) to translate insights into actionable strategies.
 

5. Project Management:

- Lead analytics projects from inception through execution, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.

- Manage budgets and resources for analytics initiatives.
 

6. Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Act as a liaison between analytics and business units, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

- Communicate analytical findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
 

7. Continuous Improvement:

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in analytics and customer experience.

- Identify opportunities for improving analytics processes and methodologies.


 

Qualifications:
 

-Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
 

- Experience:

- 10 + years of experience in analytics, data analysis, or related fields, including 4+ years in a managerial role.

- Proven track record of using data analytics to drive business results.

- Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in analytics skill sets like Hypothesis building, RCA frameworks, clustering techniques and basic modeling skills like linear, logistic regressions, forecasting , Random Forest/ XG Boost.

- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

- Soft Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
