The Custom Solutions Analyst will report to the Custom Solutions & Special Projects Manager and collaborate with other members of the Custom Solutions Team and the eMerge group.  The Custom Solutions Analyst will be responsible for supporting firm lawyers and clients with technical aspects of handling, processing, analyzing, creating, maintaining, updating, and supporting custom applications, databases, other industry platforms.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Develops custom software solutions and improving existing solutions using low-code application development platforms such as QuickBase.

  • Manages development projects including communicating with stakeholders, scheduling meetings, requirements gathering, planning, drafting project documentation, reporting on status, change control activities, budgeting and closing activities.

  • Creates, maintains, and troubleshoots applications and databases. Tasks may include data normalization, global edits, de-duplication, merging data into existing records, indexing, and packing databases, documenting database schema, creating reports, exporting, and importing data.

  • Works with attorneys, case managers and other team members to customize applications, databases and develop solutions to address matter or project specific needs.

  • Provides application support and troubleshooting assistance to users.

  • Provides training, support and technical assistance with the design, development and implementation of applications and database systems.

  • Documents and maintains activities in project management database including time spent on projects, scope changes, schema changes, design changes, bug fixes, version control and project status.

  • Collects data from clients using appropriate technology and processes.

  • Handles data and documents received including maintaining tracking logs for data received and loaded, chain of custody and an inventory of Media received for each project.

  • Cross trains and maintains proficiency in other functional areas and positions at eMerge to provide support and coverage when needed.

  • Assists with providing technical support to eMerge application users.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Demonstrated strength with and knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), User Interface/Experience Design (UI/UX), documentation and coding principles and best practices, issue tracking, software quality testing, and project management.

  • Proficiency in Python, Excel, SQL, R, C#, C++, and/or other programming languages and tools.

  • Proficiency in using Figma or other design tools for creating user interfaces and prototypes.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly learn and apply recent technologies.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of QuickBase application development.

  • Familiarity with PowerShell for scripting and automation tasks. Understanding of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including experience with deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices to ensure the security and integrity of applications and data.

 

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or other relevant technical degree preferred; a combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position may be considered.

  • Experience with front-end development and coding, specifically with JavaScript and any JS frameworks (jQuery, React, Angular), HTML, and CSS.

  • Experience in developing applications with AI integration, including machine learning, natural language processing, and generative AI.

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).

  • Prior work experience in software development environment beneficial.

Hiring Salary Range:

$90,000.00 - $110,000.00
