Role - Senior Data Integration Engineer

The opportunity
As a Senior Data Integrator Support, you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining advanced data integration strategies that are vital to our organization's business operations. We are looking for an experienced professional who will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability and reliability of our integration solutions. In this support-focused position, you will be responsible for monitoring data integration frameworks to ensure they are running efficiently and facilitating seamless data exchange across the enterprise.
 

As a key member of the Analytics Production Support team, you will ensure seamless end-to-end data flow and coordinate with stakeholders and team members across various regions, including India and Mexico. The ability to manage major incidents effectively, including handling Major Incident Management (MIM) bridges, is crucial and flexible to work in 24x7x365 support model. 
 

Your technical expertise will be key in assisting business partners and leaders to access and utilize data for informed decision-making and operational effectiveness. You will mentor mid-level and junior team members, assist in managing complex data pipelines, and uphold the highest standards of data quality and integrity. Your support will be essential to maintaining the organization's data-driven approach and its capacity to adapt to changing business needs.

Your key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for issues related to Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) data integration processes, including error analysis, debugging, and problem resolution.
• Support and maintain ETL processes using IICS, troubleshooting issues to ensure the seamless operation of existing deployments.
• Monitor data integration jobs, ensuring they execute as scheduled and without errors, and address any job failures with prompt analysis and resolution.
• Collaborate with other teams, such as database administrators, developers, and business analysts, to ensure data integration solutions meet business requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data integration processes, including data mappings, configurations, and support procedures, and document all system changes.
• Knowledge on performing impact analysis and validation of IICS mappings using a pre-release environment during quarterly IICS upgrades.
• Take ownership of support tickets, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Participate in managing Major incident discussion, focusing on detail and compliance with regulatory standards, and learning effective data management practices.
• Support in performing root cause analysis for major incidents and recurring issues, and propose solutions for permanent resolution.
• Escalate complex issues to the next level of support to ensure swift resolution.
• Identify and suggest opportunities for automation and process improvements, sharing ideas with the team to enhance business efficiency.
• Stay updated on new features and best practices for IICS, and continuously improve data integration processes and procedures.

Skills and attributes for success

• 5 years of experience in ELT/ETL tools with up to 3 years of experience in IICS
• Proven experience in a Production Support environment and readiness to work in a 24x7 Support model.
• Understanding of:
  • Informatica IICS and related tools such as Cloud Data Integration, and Cloud Application Integration
  • Relational SQL/ NoSQL databases
  • Data storage systems (i.e., AWS S3 & AWS RDS)
  • Enterprise workload automation solutions (e.g., Tidal)
  • AWS DMS service
• Hands-on experience in IICS components especially Data integration, Administrator, and Monitor
• Advanced problem solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills; passionate about solving complex business problems 
• Knowledge on any of the following technologies is beneficial.
  • PowerBI
  • Databricks
  • Pyspark, Python
• Must be a proactive learner, eager to cross-skill and advance within our innovative team environment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including storytelling and the ability to lead multifunctional teams and drive strategic partnerships
• Informatica Cloud Data and Application Integration Certification is a plus
• Strong business acumen with knowledge of the Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, or Life Sciences sector is preferred
