Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (AI ML Full Stack Developer)
Location: Bengaluru - Manyata Tech Park

Business & Team: Technology Team is responsible for the world leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business. We also use technology to drive efficient and timely processing, an essential component of great customer service. CommBank is recognized as leading the industry in IT (Information Technology) and operations with its world-class platforms and processes, agile IT infrastructure, and innovation in everything from payments to internet banking and mobile apps. The Chief Data Analytics Office (CDAO) provides specialized data services and platforms for the CommBank group and is accountable for developing Group’s data strategy, data policy and standards, governance and set requirements for data enablers/tools. The team is also accountable to facilitate a community of practitioners to share best practice and build data talent and capabilities.

Impact & Contribution: To ensure the Group achieves sustainable competitive advantage through data & analytics, you will need to play a key role in supporting the CDO in executing to the Groups AI strategy. You will utilize cutting-edge technologies to solve our
customers' hardest business centric problems. One of your key responsibilities will be on the forefront of emerging technology in AI space and driving E2E AI use cases in R&D style of development. This will include sound knowledge of the Groups data strategy, architecture and technology roadmap, aligning business needs and ensuring appropriate service levels of the CDO technology services. You will adopt tools and templates used across CDO that underpin our data and analytics capabilities for the Group projects.

Roles & Responsibilities: As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be expected to perform the following tasks and responsibilities in a manner consistent with CBA's Values and People Capabilities.

• Technical Skills: Lead the development of GenAI, AI ML applications and platforms; Architect scalable AI ML solutions using modern tech stack; Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance
• Full Stack Development: Design and develop end-to-end applications using Python, Django, Flask; Create responsive and efficient front-end solutions; Implement secure coding practices for financial applications
• Development: Build and maintain GenAI ML applications end to end; Implement full stack solutions using Python/Django and flask; Develop RESTful APIs and microservices
• AI/ML implementation: Support MLOps processes and model deployment; Integrate AI models into applications; Assist in AI solution optimization
• Cloud Services: Work with AWS services (EC2, ECR, CloudWatch); Implement containerization using Docker; support deployment and monitoring
• Security focus: implement best security practices; assist in fraud detection implementation; follow financial security protocols

• AI/ML Integration: Lead MLOps implementation and model deployment; Oversee AI model integration into production systems; Ensure AI solution security and performance

• Cloud & DevOps: Design cloud architecture using AWS services; Implement containerization strategies using Docker; Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows

• Security & Compliance: Implement fraud detection and prevention measures; Ensure compliance with financial security standards; Lead security reviews and risk assessments

Essential Skills:

• 7-10 years of software development experience with hands on experience in ML Models development & It’s maintenance & Data Science
• Expert-level Python and Django & flask development with advanced AWS services knowledge
• Strong experience in GenAI application development
• Proven leadership in technical teams with deep understanding of financial security
• Technical Competencies: Advanced proficiency in IT Risk Assessment & Management; Advanced Systems Management capabilities; sound consulting and critical analysis skills; strong negotiation and service partner management abilities
• People Capabilities: Customer Focus; Team and Culture building; Continuous Improvement mindset; Effective Communication; Strong Judgment Results-Driven approach
• Good understanding of AI/ML concepts and GenAI foundations
• Good to Have: Basic understanding of database concepts, SQL; Domain experience in finance, banking, Insurance

Education Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
