Manager - Data Governance & Product Delivery (Budapest)
Role purpose:
As the Manager of Data Governance & Product Delivery, you will lead the Data Governance & Product Delivery area to ensure global service enablement for our defined portfolio. You will focus on data management, quality assurance, data analysis, financial planning, business partnering, and performance reporting in line with SOX requirements. You will also drive improvement, efficiency, and transformation work for all areas, ensuring cost reduction targets are met in line with Vodafone Group & Group D&A strategy.
What you’ll do
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the system strategy for Data & Analytics, partnering with various Group Functions.
- Deliver customer and product reporting for actual & forecast reporting to our sales and strategy teams.
- Ensure alignment between all Vodafone reporting systems and maintain 100% data quality.
- Establish and manage end-to-end governance processes in line with SOX requirements.
- Support digital reporting rollouts and system transformation programs.
- Lead location-specific transformation portfolios.
- Manage resource allocation as per the Agile delivery framework.
- Develop, deliver, train, and support new functionalities.
- Proactively initiate proof of values and present them to the Group D&A leadership team.
- Coach and develop team members to meet their career goals.
- Continuously explore cost efficiency, value creation, and simplification opportunities.
Who you are
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
• 10+ years’ experience in reporting, data systems, dash boarding, visualization, FP&A, financial controlling, decision support, change management.
• 8+ years’ experience with people /programme management , developing and coaching team members
• Proven experience of building and managing large (30+ FTEs) and ‘virtual’ teams across different locations, and ability to lead across reporting lines
• Is a self-starter and proactive personality who can perform under minimal supervision and guidance
• Excellent communication skills at all levels
• Ability to align different organisations to one direction
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• Qualification in Financial management / Accounting / Economy / Management / Controlling
• Experience with reporting systems – i.e.: HFM, Essbase
• Development & maintenance knowledge of database solutions – i.e.: SAP, SQL, GCP, AWS
• Familiar with visualization tools for financial & non-financial results – i.e.: QlikView, QlikSense, Tableau, Micro Strategy, OBIEE, Power BI
• Experience with Financial Planning and Financial Reporting Systems – i.e.: OHP, Anaplan
• Telecom experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge on Safe Agile Delivery method / SCRUM methodology
