W.W. Grainger, Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist in Lake Forest, IL with the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science, Engineering or related field plus 1 year related experience. Prior experience must include: Develop and deploy statistical and machine learning models that improve the effectiveness of business operations; Manipulate high-volume, high-dimensionality data from multiple sources, visualize patterns, anomalies, relationships, and trends, and perform feature engineering and selection; Design and conduct experiments, collect the data necessary to perform statistical hypothesis testing, and create inferences and recommendations; Conduct exploratory data analysis and apply deep business knowledge to customer and marketplace data to uncover new business insights. Up to 60% remote work allowed.

 

Compensation: The anticipated base pay range for this position is $85,300.00 - $142,200.00, which reflects the potential base pay at the time of this posting. Base pay will depend on factors such as work location, relevant experience, and skills. Grainger reserves the right to amend, modify, or terminate compensation and benefit programs in its sole discretion at any time, consistent with applicable law.
