What You'll Be Doing
You’ll contribute to CIBC’s Data & Analytics, Technology Infrastructure & Innovation group by successfully delivering simple to complex data related projects to assist our internal LOB partners with their Strategic initiatives. Role encompasses many aspects critical to handling data. From consulting, transformation and cleansing data, building system to system data feeds, developing reports and dashboards to drive out insights and metrics for executive reporting.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How You'll Succeed
Analysis –Interpret and/or analyze factual and conceptual information with the ability to interpret/adapt general procedures or approaches when formulating responses to problems/issues. Establish and acquire relevant fact-based information and analytics to support key business strategies. Develop meaningful and relevant business insights by leveraging data from different sources and over different periods of time. Provide recommendations based on analyzing data.
Reporting - Convey factual and conceptual information on issues requiring detailed explanation and interpretation. Build and maintain Reporting & Analytics processes that answer and track business questions.
Data Consulting - Support business partners in the development of business requirements through consulting on the possible based on available data.
Data ETL - Collaborate with business teams and other IT teams to cleanse and transform data that is required for downstream processes and reports.
Who You Are
You can demonstrate work experience in: SAS and Alteryx programming skills. Good understanding of Databricks and relationship databases and Oracle/SQL. Working knowledge of Linux and Unix servers and other file systems.
You can demonstrate experience with reporting tools, leveraging Tableau, Power BI and Power Automate, Excel & Power Point at an advanced level to build tables, charts, pivots, and variances to support analytical work efforts.
