What you’ll be doing

You’ll join the Internal Audit Advanced Analytics team to perform data governance activities supporting Internal Audit.  You will work closely with the Data Governance Lead for Internal Audit, be a key contributor and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop policies, guidelines, and procedures that align with regulatory standards.

How You'll Succeed

  • Strategy & Guidance- Help establish and govern a data governance implementation roadmap for Internal Audit. Facilitate the roll out of IA wide data governance framework, with a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications to organization behavior policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture. Contribute to successful completion of data governance project deliverables.  Participate in project and team meetings, interact and collaborate with team members and other departments as appropriate. Participate in IA Data Governance Council meetings providing program updates, informing of Policy and Standard changes, identification of quality issues, review of data intensive projects, status of remediation efforts and other program activities.
  • Relationship Management – Relationship manager and collaborative consultant with business partners for all matters relating to data governance. Manage relationships , as well as project and initiative, within the Internal Audit Department.  Represent Data Governance on LOB initiatives.
  • Business Management – Assist the IA team with Data Governance initiatives across the organization, thriving in a dynamic environment to successfully carry out strategic priorities of diverse complexities. Possess strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Recognize and implement opportunities to enhance process efficiency. Contribute to the development, documentation, and execution of processes and procedures.
  • Understand Requirements – Conduct analysis of processes and functional or reporting requirements to document, communicate the best practices to stakeholders. Knowledge of and ability to utilize use case analysis, define and document business & solution requirements. Provide SME advice and direction to internal stakeholders to ensure that the requirements work packages are appropriately defined and completed.
  • Advancement – Promote a strong culture of continuous improvement to orchestrate effective leadership behavior, improvement methods, and enabling technologies to inspire a culture of sustainable continuous improvement.

    

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate a minimum of 5 years’ experience in supporting enterprise wide data governance including measuring/monitoring data quality, recommending improvements in data, data governance capabilities such as metadata ingestion, data mapping, business lineage & traceability, policy management, governance/quality metrics development & reporting, workflow and issue management, data stewardship management (roles and responsibilities), data classification and/or data catalogue management. You have 3 years process engineering experience with strong process development, project management, planning, tracking and organizational skills.
  • You are a problem solver. You have exceptional critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills with demonstrated ability to independently identify and analyze business problems and recommend solutions.
  • You know that details matter. You have very strong communication and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely present information to groups and individuals at all levels in the organization.
  • Your influence makes an impact. You know that relationships and networks are essential to success. You inspire outcomes by making yourself heard.
