About your future role

You will join Generative AI Lab, fostering its democratization and responsible for the actual implementation of GenAI solutions for Nexi Group. Being part of international team acting as a think tank for continuous technological innovation, you will work in the technical delivery team, where Nexi’s GenAI solutions are developed, customized, piloted and released to final Users. You will also be constantly in straight contact with the internal demand, strategy and innovation team, to make sure that technical implementation are fully aligned with business needs and expectations and that then delivery team is up-to-date on the cutting edge technology available in the market.

Your key responsibilities in this role will be:

• Develop, customize, and configure Generative AI applications and chatbots
• Execute pilot implementations and support their transition to full-scale production
• Design, optimize, and refine prompts to enhance model interactions (Prompt Engineering)
• Enhance AI models through Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and fine-tuning 
• Produce and maintain technical documentation 
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure and GenAI models in non-production environments
• Develop tools for KPI collection and performance monitoring, ensuring continuous improvement

Qualifications needed to be successful in this role:

• Expertise in prompt engineering and prompt optimization
• Proficiency in Python (preferred) or Java, with strong coding and debugging skills
• Hands-on experience with ML model fine-tuning and adaptation for enterprise applications
• Experience with AI frameworks and libraries
• Strong understanding of API integration and microservices architectures
• Familiarity with deployment tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS preferred), including AI/ML service offerings
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for AI and MLOps best practices
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and vector databases
• Understanding of GenAI security, compliance, and ethical AI principles, especially in regulated industries
