Role Introduction

The Junior Reporting Analyst supports all data and reporting development and related activities for delivery of 

professional services. This role will work closely with the reporting and analytics manager to collect, analyze, 

and present data insights that inform stakeholder decision-making. This role will partner with the solutions 

development team, market business partners and report developers in vetting requirements and proposing 

improvements to all reporting solutions and services that support the professional practice and program 

development teams.  


What your day will look like:

  • Develops a strong working knowledge of data sources, internal and external reporting needs. 
  • Creates and maintains databases and data systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. 
  • Develops and maintains reporting tools, change requests, and iterations. 
  • Coordinates with the development team on report testing, data validation and release to stakeholders. 
  • Works closely with program manager – reporting and analytics, reporting developers and stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights. 
  • Owns the data dictionary and maintenance. 
  • Supports evaluation and execution of improvement opportunities. 
  • Drafts clear and well-structured business requirements and documentation. 
  • Creates reports, dashboards and visualizations within expected project timelines. 
  • Reviews and validates requirements with relevant collaborators, ensuring business needs are met. 
  • Ensures input from all stakeholders before any build, release or implementation of reports. 
  • Collects and compiles data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and completeness. 
  • Performs data cleaning and transformation as necessary to prepare it for analysis. 
  • Conducts analysis and validation of report outputs and data sets. 
  • Summarizes reporting issues and recommends improvements in clear and concise reports. 
  • Prepares regular and ad-hoc reports, ensuring deliverables are accurate and delivered on time. 
  • Clearly communicates findings, recommendations and requirements to both technical and non-technical 
  • diences. 
  • Helps maintain data quality standards by identifying and resolving data discrepancies or inconsistencies. 
  • Collaborates with other team members to establish data quality protocols and document business rules. 
  • Stays up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis. Continuously expands knowledge and skills in data analytics techniques and tools. 

Requirements

We're looking for someone who:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, information technology or a related field 
  • 4-5 years business / reporting analysis experience 
  • 2-3 years hands-on experience working with data and reports 
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI 
  • Preferred experience in the AEC industry

National Salary Range: $72,200 - $115,000


Please note that this role is a salaried and exempt position, and therefore, is not eligible for overtime pay.

If position is eligible for remote status, ranges may be adjusted. Acknowledging the time employees typically spend in the role, compensation is dependent on applicable years of experience and skillset.
