Data Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to develop and implement a robust data analytics and tools strategy for a leading hospitality and casino gaming customer. This role will focus on designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, optimizing data infrastructure, and enabling actionable insights that drive business performance. The ideal candidate will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure seamless data integration and availability.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Build and optimize data warehouses, lakes, and real-time data processing solutions.
  • Collaborate with business and analytics teams to define data models, metrics, and reporting tools for hospitality and gaming insights.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all platforms.
  • Implement cloud-based and on-premise data solutions, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify key data needs and analytics opportunities in hospitality and casino gaming.
  • Automate data workflows and support self-service analytics for business users.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala for data processing.
  • Experience with ETL frameworks, data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery), and real-time data streaming (Kafka, Spark, or similar).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, schema design, and performance optimization.
  • Experience in hospitality, gaming, or related industries is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Experience with machine learning pipelines or AI-driven analytics.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA) in gaming and hospitality.

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 42,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 147,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
