Micron Technology
Explore Micron Technology, leading in semiconductors with a broad range of performance-enhancing memory and storage solutionsOur vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
Join an inclusive team passionate about one thing: using their expertise in the relentless pursuit of innovation for customers and partners. The solutions we build help make everything from virtual reality experiences to breakthroughs in neural networks possible. We do it all while committing to integrity, sustainability, and giving back to our communities. Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.
As a Non-Volatile Engineering (NVE) Product Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be part of a brilliant team of engineers that solves complex problems. You will be responsible for enabling Micron’s NAND products with seamless and issue-free release to both internal and external non-volatile system customers.
In this role (FDV-RSG/Infrastructure), you will formulate and execute validation flows on the latest RG NAND designs. Validation on the NAND datasheet commands and features can come from deterministic usage cases, as well as Pseudo-Random (aka RSG - Random Sequence Generator) sequences. When device issues are uncovered, you will perform detailed failure analysis and work closely with the various Engineering and Development groups to resolve the observed issues. If you want a career that is meaningful, challenging, and want to work with a phenomenal team, NVEG Product Engineering (FDV-RSG/Infrastructure) may be a good fit for you.
The general responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Design and develop the novel test algorithms and test programs for validating NAND features and commands
- Test program backbone infrastructure development, including deterministic, RSG and new NAND interface
- Machine Learning related initiative development
- Execute validation (RSG focus) for the first/new design revisions, as well as subsequent REM/trimset releases
- Use high-speed tester hardware to perform functional and design validation of new NAND devices
- Study the latest RG NAND designs, with a focus on customer mode operations
- Continuously optimize test flow and test program for more comprehensive coverage.
- Perform failure analysis during the validation, and investigate root causes of reported device issue
- Collaborate with NAND Design, Application Engineering, Product and System teams to drive closure of device issues
- Automation of program development and work processes using scripting.
Skills Required:
- Position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering.
- Keen interest in design validation and characterization
- Over 6 years of experience in ATE test program development (e.g. Teradyne/Advantest) and/or Memory related product
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, with careful attention to root cause analysis
- Proficiency in software development (e.g. C-based programming) and scripting (e.g. Perl, Python)
- Effective communication skills in written and spoken English, including documentation and presentation
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and self-development
