All inquiries regarding the posted position should be directed to the Talent Partner (see below). Interested individuals must apply directly to be considered for the opening.

Andrea Calabria - Director, Computational Sciences

Andrea holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Engineering from the Polytechnic of Milan (Italy) and earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Milan Bicocca (Italy), specializing in computational biology. He has over 11 years of postdoctoral experience in gene therapy at the San Raffaele Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy in Milan, where he became a recognized researcher (H-index: 24, ORCID: https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3515-3384). His work focused on assessing the safety and insertional mutagenesis of gene therapy treatments using viral vectors and investigating human hematopoietic stem cell differentiation in vivo through clonal dynamics.
Andrea joined Tesera in 2023 as the lead of the computational biology team, where he is responsible for:
1.    Supporting drug candidate programs by developing genotoxicity packages,
2.    Leading research projects to identify novel reagents and uncover their biological mechanisms, and
3.    Overseeing technical initiatives, including database development for knowledge mining and molecular assay design.
