About the role 🤓

As a Credit Control and Analytics Manager at seQura, you will lead a small team that plays a central role in analyzing and understanding drivers of credit risk. The team leverages data-driven insights to enhance credit decision-making and portfolio management. It also performs credit loss calculations, forecasting and follow up of the same. This role requires a mix of analytical expertise, technical skills, and business acumen to drive data-backed solutions that balance risk and growth. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is both a hands-on analytical expert and a thoughtful, collaborative leader.

Requirements

What challenges you'll be solving 🚀

Credit Risk Analysis

  • Analyze loan portfolio performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Monitor key credit metrics and develop strategies to mitigate risk while supporting growth.

  • Conduct deep-dive analysis on credit performance, delinquencies, and loss rates.

Strategy & Optimization

  • Work closely with Product and AI & Data Science to refine credit policies and lending strategies.

  • Optimize credit approval processes to balance risk appetite with business growth objectives.

  • Design and test new credit products, pricing strategies, and risk mitigation measures.

Regulatory Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to credit risk and lending.

  • Prepare reports and insights for senior management, regulatory bodies, and audit teams.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of credit analysts.

  • Set clear goals, provide technical guidance, and foster a culture of continuous learning and performance.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with data science, finance, and product teams.

What you’ll need 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

  • Experience: 5+ years in credit risk analytics, data science, or financial modeling.

  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a small team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in banking, fintech, consumer/business lending, or financial services preferred.

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, SAS, or other analytics tools for data analysis and modeling.

  • Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) for visualization and reporting.

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.

  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, business acumen, and the ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
