Overview

Are you ready to make a real impact in the cloud world? Adastra US is in search of an experienced and innovative AWS Technical Lead with a solid background in cloud infrastructure to join our dynamic team. As AWS Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing highly scalable and robust cloud solutions for our clients. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving successful cloud migration projects and optimizing existing AWS infrastructure.

 

Location: New York, New Jersey, Texas, or willing to relocate in a timely manner

Work model: Hybrid

Status: Full-Time, Permanent

 

Responsibilities:

  • Architecting Cloud Solutions: Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and design scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions using AWS services and best practices
  • Cloud Migration: Lead and execute the migration of on-premises applications and workloads to AWS, ensuring a seamless transition and minimal disruption to business operations
  • Infrastructure Design: Design and implement AWS infrastructure, including virtual private clouds (VPCs), subnets, security groups, IAM roles, and other core services to meet application requirements
  • Application Deployment: Oversee the deployment of applications on AWS, utilizing services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and others while ensuring high availability and fault tolerance
  • Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures, including encryption, access controls, and identity management, to safeguard data and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and fine-tune AWS environments for optimal performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency, employing auto-scaling and resource optimization techniques
  • Disaster Recovery and Backup: Develop disaster recovery and backup strategies to ensure business continuity and data integrity in case of system failures or outages
  • Cost Management: Provide cost analysis and optimization recommendations to clients, helping them leverage AWS pricing models and cost-effective solutions
  • Documentation and Training: Create detailed technical documentation and conduct training sessions for internal teams and clients to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure smooth operations
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest AWS services, trends, and best practices, and proactively recommend new solutions that align with business objectives
  • Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
    • Proven experience as an AWS Solution Architect, designing and deploying complex cloud solutions
    • Background or focus on Analytics and Data Engineering, with previous experience handling analytics and data-related projects 
    • Knowledge and exposure in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD creation, cloud provisioning, etc.
    • Experience with data, ETL, data warehouses/-housing, and databases is mandatory
    • Strong ability to handle presales/sales tasks
    • Proficient in core AWS services, networking, security, and serverless computing
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
    • Effective communication and presentation skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

    Nice to Have:

     

    • Previous experience in a technical lead role is preferred
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional certification preferred
    • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
