Job Description

Primary Function of Position The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst – Finance will play a key role in the Finance Analytics function at Intuitive. The primary responsibilities of this team are to:

  • Develop and execute on analytics roadmaps
  • Generate better, more accurate, and more prescriptive insights
  • Create measurable value for our internal teams and our customers

This position will serve as the primary point of contact for all analytics requests from our global FP&A and Corporate Accounting departments. The successful candidate will work closely with department leaders to leverage analytics to expand capacity and better enable our world-class Finance organization. The right person for the job will apply their knowledge of data analysis to solving real-world problems faced by our company and finding opportunities for improvement across multiple projects and teams.

Essential Job Duties

  • Provide analytical services and tools to the FP&A and Corporate Accounting functions to improve insights and productivity.
  • Standardize & automate routine processes using data & reporting.
  • Partner with IT, Enterprise Analytics, & Finance business process owners to prioritize & execute on critical analytics initiatives.
  • Assist in architecting and socializing new data sets to serve the FP&A and Corporate Accounting functions.
  • Practice good data and reporting governance & help improve overall master data integrity.
  • Present insights and recommendations to Finance executive management for decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Provide additional ad hoc analytics capacity to serve the CFO and SVP of Finance.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proficient SQL & Tableau skills (technical exercise included as part of interview process)
  • High capacity with the ability to plan, manage, & execute upon numerous processes and projects simultaneously
  • Proficient analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Solution-oriented
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Required Education and Training

  • Bachelor’s degree required in a finance or quantitative field; Master’s in Analytics or Data Science preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in a highly analytical role; Prior FP&A or Accounting experience a strong plus

 

This job is On-site in Sunnyvale, CA, 3 days weekly.
