Salary: £32,490 - £36,870 per annum Grade D Fixed Term Contract / Internal Secondment - 24 months 37 Hours per Week    The Role:
  • Assist in System administration for the HR System(s) ensuring data integrity and hygiene through overall management and supervision of the systems
  • Support the implementation annual upgrades of HR systems, creating testing plans which ensure thorough testing of all parts of the system, provision of reports prior to go live.
  • Work collaboratively with the IT provider to coordinate, plan and deliver upgrades in a timely and efficient manner without disruption to BAU
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of quantitative data results to construct meaningful HR data insight
  • Interpretation and presentation of data insight into meaningful reports and analyses for the use of HR/OD and organisational requirements
  • Support the development of how the HR/OD function shares and uses data across the Council and with partners to develop systems and processes to support how data, evidence, evaluation and research are used to improve knowledge, understand complex issues and evidence of what works, to inform effective decision-making.  
  • Maintain, develop and create reports and develop tools and training in order to give users appropriate on-demand / self-service access to data

Key Skills, Experience, Knowledge:

The successful candidate will need to have the following:

  • Proficient IT skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Oracle, and other HR systems
  • Broad depth and breadth of technical HR Systems knowledge and practical application
  • Proven ability and experience of using statistical methods to describe or make inferences about data
  • Ability to communicate insights and results of data analyses by producing meaningful written reports, dashboards and presenting face-to-face.
  • Ability to work with broad datasets, navigating data quality issues along the way.
  • High level of attention to detail and data accuracy coupled with strong organising and planning skills.
