Role overview   

The Telematics team is a forward-thinking team looking to revolutionize and shape the way we look at insurance. This exciting new role would place you in the heart of analytics and pricing, where you can influence and drive strategic initiatives central to achieving our group objectives.

Job details 

• The purpose of this role is to act as the key point of contact for the Telematics team to complete key analysis in a variety of areas to inform both commercial and customer outcomes, highlighting any opportunities that arise via in-depth analyses.
• You will be involved in a number of key commercial areas, including identifying emerging market & trading trends, analysing commercial performance, and implementing proposals to adjust Telematics product or pricing criteria. 
• Your primary focus will be to build and deliver robust MI and BI reporting, providing oversight to key stakeholders to support trading and business decisions, with a view to identifying key trends, spotting anomalies and working with our teams to action fixes.
• You will have End-to-end responsibility for the implementation and testing of pricing changes and practices, providing detailed impact analysis for company and customer.
• A lot of the work you will do is flexible, so for example we may ask you to conduct ad hoc analysis, creating & testing various hypotheses raised by the team.

Skills we would love you to have:    

• Analytically minded, naturally curious with the ability to perform detailed analysis, investigate new data sources and explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.
• Great communication and presentation skills.
• Proven research skills including the ability to formulate hypotheses and identify ways to prove or disprove these targeted tests.
• Experience using SQL, Python or R.
• We are looking for a strong baseline skill set but if you have the desire to learn, our supportive telematics team will invest in your future development.
• Experience in the UK General Insurance Market would be a distinct advantage.
