Job Summary
Data is at the core of SCOR strategic plan Forward 2026 as one of its four enablers. As part of this ambition, the Data Platform team has a key role to play.
Responsible of the technological stack & platform, the data delivery, the overall data architecture and the entreprise data model, the Data Platform team supports the delivery of analytical use cases with expertise (data engineering, data modeling, data artchitecture) and evolves & operates a state-of-the-art platform infrastructure stack, while ensuring the global consistency of data across SCOR information system.
The Data Platform team, international and multi-cultural, mixes various profiles (data engineering, data modeling, data and platform architecture) to make SCOR the reinsurer of tomorrow.
As part of this team, the Data Platform Lead (Expert Palantir Foundry) ensures optimal implementation and use of the data platform technologies, especially centered around two key techologies: Databricks, as a Transactional and Integration layer and Palantir, as the Single Version of Truth for Analytics.
We are looking for a highly-skilled Tech leader as our Data Platform Lead, that will drive forward our Platform vision, with an explicit focus on Palantir Foundry, as part of the e2e platform blueprint and will own its Operation.
You provide out-of-the box accelerators to projects while monitoring and optimizing use of the platform through a finops angle.
The Data Platform Lead needs to:
- Be problem-solving oriented with strong analytical thinking
- Be autonomous and rigorous in the way you approache technical challenges
- Advise on the architecture and use of Databricks, and provide standard frameworks
- Collaborate with various stakeholders (data & analytics engineers, data architects, solutions owners, IT operation teams) to ensure that the best practices are followed on the platform
- Commit and bring Your skills to contribute to the success of the Group
Key duties and responsibilities
Under the responsibility of the Head of Data Platform, as a Data Platform Lead your mission will be to:
- Drive the evolution & monitor the Platform’s operation:
- Continuously drive the platform following a “platform-as-a-product” approach, by implementing new features to enhance it, in support of use cases and aligning with the target blueprint of SCOR’s Data Strategy
- Be responsible for configuring and / or defining standard rights and access patterns to the platform.
- Implement Finops monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
- Optimize use of computational resources.
- Build, deliver, maintain and document framework to accelerate and standardize the work of your colleagues:
- Provide standardized, ready-to-use code templates.
- Enhance generic libraries to facilitate the ingestion, transformation, monitoring, alerting of data pipelines.
- Implement standardized frameworks for unit-testing, code quality checks and other CI frameworks to ensure operational excellence on the platform.
- Act as SME on data platform technologies
- Be a referent on Palantir Foundry technology.
- Provide guidance on implementation pattern, both from an applicative and an infrastructural point of view.
- Perform peer review and intervene when punctual expertise is required.
- Perform technological watch and ensure SCOR benefits from latest features of data platform technologies.
- Animate a community around Palantir Foundry.
- Ensure smooth integration with the rest of Data & IT ecosystem.
Required experience & competencies
- +5 years of experience as a data engineer or data architect, data oriented mindset
- Strong experience in development and maintenance of data pipelines
- Good development practices (gitflow, unit tests, documentation…)
- Proven experience on Finops implementation and platform administration
- Knowledge of (Re)insurance industry and / or Financial Services is a plus
- Awareness on data management and data privacy topics
Technical Skills :
- Strong technical knowledge of Palantir Foundry, proven experience in administrating the platform and solid knowledge of the technical architecture of the platform
- Strong level in Python and Pyspark, ability to develop data pipelines and analyze DAGs and optimizing resources / codes
- Strong knowledge of parallelization, distributed programming techniques
- Strong knowledge of datalakes environments and concepts (delta lakes, medaillon architecture, blob storage vs file shares…)
- Good knowledge of CI / CD pipelines
- Good knowledge of REST API development (Flask, FastAPI, Django…)
- Knowledge of containers (Docker Compose, Kubernetes) is a plus

Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software or computer engineering, applied math, physics, statistics, or a related field or equivalent experience
