Python Developer (Flask, FastAPI and Big Data)

Overall Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications using Flask and FastAPI.
• Work with big data technologies such as Spark and Hadoop (Starbusters).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical specifications and detailed documentation for new features and enhancements.
• Stay current with the latest technology trends and advancements and suggest ways to incorporate them into existing solutions.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure the quality and maintainability of the codebase.
• Participate in the resolution of technical issues and provide technical support to team members.
• Ensure that software solutions are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards.

Technical Skills:

Software Requirements:

• Strong expertise in Python development using Flask and FastAPI.
• Proficiency in big data technologies such as Spark and Hadoop (Starbusters).
• Good understanding of Scala is a plus.
• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Python development, with a focus on Flask and FastAPI.
• Proven track record of working with big data technologies such as Spark and Hadoop.
• Experience with Scala is a plus.
• Experience with software development methodologies and tools such as Agile, Scrum, Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and participating in code reviews.

Day-to-Day Activities:

• Participating in daily stand-up meetings and project planning sessions.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design technical solutions.
• Writing, testing, and deploying Python-based applications.
• Conducting code reviews and providing feedback to other team members.
• Staying current with the latest technology trends and advancements.
• Providing technical support to team members and resolving technical issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in Python, big data technologies, or related fields are a plus.
