We are looking for an Engineering Data Management Specialist Middle– Delivery Management, to become part of the Airbus Defence and Space Romania team. The ideal candidate should have worked in some areas of project management domain, PM support or PMO and should be able to understand technical aspects from IT projects.

Mission: Special subtype of system engineering with the focus on a transversal Engineering speciality: Engineering Data Management. Collaborates closely with the Chief Engineer / engineering project manager of different systems/system elements for Airbus Defence and Space by applying delivery processes and engineering data management standards in order to support the projects and teams.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the project on the deliveries, keep track on the planned items, milestones and coordinate the delivery process

• Ensure deliveries following the agreed SW delivery process

• Interface and reporting of status updates towards key stakeholders

• Make delivery process aware to involved stakeholders

• Involve the relevant stakeholders in order to acquire the necessary System Version Description Document (SVDD) information for the planned release

• Create the SVDD based on the input received, coordinate the review, signature process and formal release

• Drive Delivery Process optimization as needed

• Provides expertise on the Specialty area, in an interdisciplinary approach governing the total technical and managerial effort to support a solution throughout its life cycle

• Participates in the definition, set up, institutionalization, supporting and maintenance of the Engineering Data Management standards, process and deliverables

• Prepare and deliver Engineering Data Management artefacts (e.g. schedules, resource plans, interactive dashboards, chief engineering / project management reports, SW / HW deliverables, Confluence pages, technical documentation) in collaboration with responsible Work Package Managers

• Based on business needs, occasional travel within and outside the country may be required.

Requirements:

Skills

• Bachelor degree in Information Systems Technology or Engineering

• 3 - 5 years proven experience in System Engineering technical domain

• Experience with Agile is a plus

• English Business fluent level required

• Ability to communicate in other European language(s) would be beneficial (French, Spanish, German)

• Quick adapt in an evolving environment through multifunctional and international teams

• Ability to easily communicate and interact with stakeholders (Chief Engineers, Project Managers, Work Package Managers etc.) – the role is transversal and assumes communication with various managers and teams, most communication needs to be handled remotely

• Ability to apply the appropriate delivery management methods, processes and tools, monitoring and controlling of project delivery milestones

• Ability to identify, assess and respond to risks regarding the delivery process

• Ability to gather and reuse previous experience from other similar products / projects

• Technical Work Package Management / Supplier Management experience is a plus

• Experience with data analysis, integration and reporting from various systems is a plus

Specific knowledge

• Knowledge on software development processes and hardware, agile way of working, Jira / Confluence

• Knowledge on software releases and specific documentation

• Ability to understand and use basic scripts related to the tools mentioned above (Jira - JQL, Confluence Macros)

• Knowledge on Scheduling / Unified Planning is a plus

• Good experience / knowledge with Project Management Tools (Ms Office, Google suite, Action items tracking, Risk management), Project Management Processes and Agile Project Management Tools (Confluence, Jira)
