Job Description

We are seeking a Data Governance Expert for Data Analytics Tools to join our team in Barcelona, Spain. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, security, and compliance of data used in our Business Intelligence tools, AI, and analytics platforms. As part of our Data Office team, you will work closely with the Data Protection Officer, Business Stakeholders, and Data Analysts to implement and enforce robust governance policies across our data visualization, machine learning, and analytics tools.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive data governance frameworks for analytics tools
  • Manage data lineage, metadata, and access control across various BI platforms
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including GDPR, HIPAA, and GxP
  • Define functional requirements for Collibra, Tableau, PowerBI, and other analytics platforms to align with data governance frameworks
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to implement data governance frameworks across analytics tools
  • Support data scientists and analysts in adopting governance best practices
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of data governance practices
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data governance policies and procedures
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on data governance principles and best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data governance and analytics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in data governance, data management, or related fields
  • Extensive knowledge of data governance frameworks, metadata management, and compliance standards
  • Proven experience with Collibra, Snowflake, and AWS-based analytics tools
  • Strong understanding of BI and AI/ML platforms, including Tableau, Power BI, and SageMaker
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or regulated industries is highly desirable
  • In-depth knowledge of data privacy regulations, including GDPR and HIPAA
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable terms for non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts
  • Certification in data governance or related fields (e.g., CDMP, CIPM) is a plus
  • Fluency in English is required; Spanish and Portuguese are a plus
