We seek an experienced and visionary Lead Data Strategist to join our team. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with our client's organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess a robust data management, governance, and analytics background, with a proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of data professionals.
What would be your day-to-day responsibilities, you ask?
- Research, design, develop, and execute a comprehensive data strategy in alignment with the client's organizational goals.
- Establish robust data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
- Establish, grow, and lead a virtual team of data professionals, including data scientists, analysts, and engineers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Drive the implementation of cutting-edge data architectures and technologies to meet client's evolving business requirements.
- Collaborate with the client's key stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to enhance business processes, products, and services.
- Ensure effective data management and integration across different systems and platforms.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and trends in data management to recommend strategic investments.
- Advocate for data literacy and awareness throughout the client's organization, facilitating training and communication initiatives.
- Ensure the data team collaborates with IT and other departments to align data initiatives with overarching business objectives.
- Design and implement monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators to gauge the effectiveness of data management and utilization efforts.
- Build data-related value proposition materials for the sales team.
- Present Symphony data capabilities on sales calls and conferences.
- Build data capabilities within the organization to address cutting-edge trends in the market.
Ideal profile - What are we looking for?
- 15+ years of experience in data space.
- Proven track record as a senior leader in data management, with a history of successfully implementing robust data strategies.
- Proven track record and references in designing and implementing global big data platforms.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, information management, or business analytics.
- Data-related certification in AWS and Azure environments is a bonus.
- Deep understanding of data governance, compliance, privacy, and security best practices.
- Understanding the latest trends in data management such as data mesh and data fabric.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams towards achieving common objectives.
- Proficiency in data technologies, architectures, and tools, with a keen eye for innovation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with executives, stakeholders, and technical teams.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align data initiatives with overarching business goals.
- Familiarity with various business domains, preferably healthcare, supply chain, finance, retail, etc.
