ROLE: Business Intelligence Analyst
REPORTS TO: Manager, Analytics and Business Intelligence
LOCATION: Remote / Corporate Office in Houston, Texas (Hybrid)

THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Business Intelligence Analyst, you will join a team that provides analytical and reporting support to all functional areas of the business. You will work closely with other departments to define metrics and implement robust data visualizations and dashboarding solutions through Power BI that will drive meaningful insights and business decisions. Your goal is to help create a data storytelling environment where end users can quickly understand how we are performing toward our goals and accurately analyze our business to make data-informed decisions.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform advanced data analysis and exploratory data analysis to uncover actionable insights and drive business decisions.
- Demonstrate expertise in Power BI and other dashboarding tools to design and develop interactive reports and visualizations.
- Manage and prioritize a backlog of requests effectively, collaborating closely with business stakeholders to address data needs.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that support strategic initiatives.
- Work closely with the Data Engineering team to leverage and provide feedback on the new Lakehouse architecture for optimized data usage.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of business strategies and operational performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Property Operations, and Support Functions, to provide relevant analytics solutions.
- Partner with the Data Science team on predictive analytics projects to support long-term goals.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of the BI Roadmap and Strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field with approximately 7 to 10 years of total work experience.
- 3-5 years experience in Power BI, Tableau or other enterprise data visualization, with a strong background in designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports.
- Proficient in SQL, with 7 years of hands-on experience in writing and optimizing complex queries.
- Desirable skills include experience with Python for data analysis as well as experience with Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment and exercise independent judgment.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with Senior Management and internal business partners.
