About Botpress

At Botpress, we empower organizations by integrating AI agents into their core business functions. Our dedicated team, consisting of top-tier developers, engineers, and business strategists, is driving our platform to become the standard solution for multi-agent systems, serving enterprises, governments, and educational institutions of various scales.

We keep our team intentionally small & talent-dense and are looking for highly skilled and motivated people who bring something exceptional to our group.

Role Overview

Data and automation are at the heart of how we scale effectively, and we need a Data Engineer who’s excited about building the backbone that connects all of our go-to-market teams to accurate, actionable data.

As our Data Engineer focusing on GTM automation, you’ll sit at the intersection of data engineering and go-to-market operations. Your primary goal will be to design, build, and maintain the pipelines and workflows that power our CRM, CDP, and data warehouse.

Working as part of the GTM team, you’ll collaborate closely with RevOps, Marketing, and Sales to ensure that the right data flows seamlessly from product usage signals to marketing and sales automation, enabling us to deliver exceptional customer experiences at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Build and Maintain Data Pipelines:

  • Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines connecting our core systems (HubSpot, Segment, Stripe, BigQuery, Clay), ensuring data is accurate, complete, and reliable.

Integrate Product Usage & Customer Signals:

  • Enable marketing and sales automation by translating product signals into actionable workflows in HubSpot and other GTM tools.

Build a Strong Data Foundation:

  • Identify critical data inputs, outputs, and handoff points between CRM, CDP, Data Warehouse, and Reverse ETL systems to ensure a robust and scalable RevTech framework.

Ensure Data Quality & Governance:

  • Monitor data health, implement best practices for data governance, and ensure consistent data definitions and documentation.

Create Scalable Solutions & Tools:

  • Write clean, efficient code (Python, SQL, or similar) and leverage APIs or integration platforms to build robust, scalable workflows that can handle large volumes of data.

Leverage AI as a Force Multiplier:

  • Incorporate cutting-edge AI GTM solutions that amplify our revenue workflows across every funnel, from initial prospect engagement to post-sale expansion and retention.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay current on emerging data engineering practices, especially as they relate to marketing automation and PLG environments; recommend and implement process improvements.

Expand & Optimize Our RevTech Stack:

  • Evaluate, test, and integrate new GTM tools that enhance revenue operations, while activating agentic automation on top of our existing RevStack.

Requirements

Professional Experience:

  • 3+ years in a Data Engineering or related role with a strong track record of building and maintaining data pipelines.
  • Experience integrating RevTech platforms such as HubSpot, Segment, Stripe, Clay or similar.

Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data warehousing, and data modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms (BigQuery, AWS, or similar).

Marketing Automation & CRM Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with marketing automation principles and CRM workflows in a PLG environment.
  • Experience with HubSpot or other marketing/sales platforms is a major plus.

API & Integration Skills:

  • Comfortable with RESTful APIs, webhooks, and integration frameworks.
  • Able to architect and implement scalable data integrations across various systems.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
