WebFOCUS Data Specialist

Mission Overview:

The role within Keystone Solutions recruitment department now emphasizes the consultancy nature of this position. The responsibilities described below will be performed as a Keystone Solutions consultant, working at a client site to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze Data Needs: Collaborate with external clients and internal departments to understand and refine data requirements in partnership with the data products product owner.
• Report Design and Implementation: Design, build, and implement reports that meet business requirements using WebFOCUS capabilities, including Dialogue Manager, AppStudio, and InfoAssist+.
• Application Development and Maintenance: Engage in application development, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
• Testing and Defect Resolution: Participate in functional, technical, and user acceptance testing, and resolve identified defects as necessary.
• Best Practices and Standards: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of best practices and standards for reporting.

Skills/Profile:

• Extensive IT Experience: Minimum of 10 years in IT and over 7 years of experience with WebFOCUS.
• Requirement Analysis: Proven experience in analyzing requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
• WebFOCUS Expertise: Proficient in WebFOCUS 8/9.2 architecture, security concepts, and advanced reporting/output capabilities.
• Database and SQL Knowledge: Experience with database technologies, SQL, and data analysis/optimization.
• SDLC Experience: Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and ability to develop technical requirements based on business needs.

Preferred:

• Programming Languages: Experience and understanding of multiple programming languages, systems, and data design methodologies.
• WebFOCUS Portal Customization: Experience in customizing WebFOCUS portals.
• Data Warehouse Knowledge: Understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and tools.
• Web Technologies: Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery.
