Data Engineer | Aarhus

THE OPPORTUNITY 

Join Boozt's Data Intelligence team and engineer solutions for our high-volume data (200GB daily ingestion, 2000TB monthly processing) on Google Cloud Platform. Be part of new cloud-native ingestion projects and collaborate with data scientists, analysts, engineers and developers.

THE TEAM

Our Data Intelligence team assists business units from all over the company with daily pipelines performing feature generation, model training and data aggregations. You will work closely with our data scientists and analysts using tools such as Google BigQuery, dbt and Airflow, while also focusing on making everything run smooth and efficiently. You will also be sitting with our in-office productivity engineering team with many options to seek support, collaborate, and expand your work according to your interests.

We are working out of our Aarhus office filled with international talents. It is a spacious and bright office with a great social and informal atmosphere. The office houses development teams - web, engineering and data intelligence - something also reflected in the atmosphere. We also keep in close contact with our colleagues in the other Boozt offices and we visit regularly to meet up, discuss, plan and socialize. In 2026, the HQ office will move from Malmö to Copenhagen, which will also make visits a touch easier.

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

• Enable the ingestion of data into our BigQuery datalake from our internal systems for e-commerce, marketing, finance, logistics and third party tools using Airbyte, Google Cloud Platform, dbt and more

• Improve developer productivity using CI and by creating tooling in e.g. dbt and Airflow/Google Cloud Composer

• Support data scientists with infrastructure and software development best practises in orchestrating ML products with Python in Airflow/Google Cloud Composer

• Take part in designing our data lake infrastructure and security and orchestrate through Terraform

• Ensure data quality by implementing monitoring and alerting of our ingestion and transformation processes

YOUR PROFILE 

• Solid engineering experience - with a desire to shift or focus on data infrastructure

• Passionate about optimization and software best practises

• Experience with data intensive applications or cloud technologies - preferably within the Google Cloud Platform

• Infrastructure experience - specifically Terraform and Kubernetes - is a plus

• Fluent in English, as this is our corporate language (only applications in English will be considered)

To be successful in this role you have an engineering mindset and you are a curious person eager to learn but also share your knowledge with others. You thrive with responsibility, managing different projects and being first point of contact in many cases.
