We are on the lookout for a Associate Machine Learning Engineer to join the Consumer - Global Recommendations & AI - Machine Learning Platform tribe on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.

We're seeking a talented Associate Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic Global Machine Learning Platform team. Our mission is to empower Data Science teams across Delivery Hero's diverse brands (Foodora, Foodpanda, Glovo, Talabat, Peya, Hungerstation, Woowa, and more) with a robust, scalable platform. This platform enables them to rapidly and reliably develop, deploy, and manage machine learning models that drive personalized experiences for our global customer base.

In this role you will,

• Be part of a team that powers personalized experiences for millions of customers across the globe, every single day.

• Build and Innovate: Contribute to the development of our Global ML Platform's features, taking ownership and driving impactful changes.

• Collaborate and Solve: Partner closely with data scientists and software engineers to understand their needs and create solutions that optimize their workflows.

• Craft Quality Code: Write clean, maintainable code, comprehensive test cases, and clear documentation for your components.

• Share and Learn: Present your solutions to stakeholders, gather feedback, and iterate to improve.

• Grow and Adapt: Embrace new technologies and apply them to solve challenging problems in our dynamic global environment.

Qualifications

• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with familiarity in modern programming languages like Python, Java, or Golang.

• Real-World Experience: Hands-on experience building features for applications deployed in live environments.

• Innovation Mindset: Proven ability to create demo applications and proof of concepts using open-source tools.

• Growth Orientation: A strong desire for continuous learning and professional development.

• Team Player: A collaborative spirit and a commitment to understanding and addressing customer pain points.

• Effective Communicator: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English.

• Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and determine effective solutions.

Nice to Have

• Experience with public cloud platforms, particularly GCP.

• Familiarity with bootstrapping development environments for new projects.

• Understanding of MLOps principles and practices.
