Stream Head- Data Analytics (Emiratisation)

The role of Vice President will help lead Data & Analytics for our Functions Group, covering Regulatory Reporting, Operations, Compliance, HR, and Finance. This role will be pivotal in transforming the data landscape and driving advanced analytics—including AI and Generative AI—to enhance regulatory compliance, streamline operations, mitigate risks, and unlock revenue-driving opportunities. The incumbent will be responsible for leading the development and fine-tuning data models, data lake and enabling or improving any AI models across multiple functions along with engineering tools and analytical applications. Working closely with cross-functional teams to architect and prototype systems and implementing robust evaluation and monitoring framework.

• Lead the end-to-end data and analytics strategy across functions, aligning with enterprise goals and data priorities.
• Advance the maturity from traditional BI to AI-driven and GenAI-enabled analytics. Champion data storytelling, decision intelligence, and predictive modeling to support business and functional growth.
• Ensure robust data quality frameworks, metadata standards, and compliance with internal and external data regulations.
• Collaborate with business leaders across Regulatory, Compliance, Finance, HR and Ops to understand priorities and co-create data-driven solutions.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, BI developers, data scientists and AI/ML specialists. Promote innovation, continuous learning, and agile delivery.
• Drive the adoption of modern data platforms and BI initiatives
• Act as a key member of the governance committee, overseeing policy development, vendor selection, use case evaluation, and project approvals.
• Lead the practical application and integration of BI/AI technologies, focusing on model fine-tuning techniques. And architect and prototype systems to enhance operational workflows and improve customer experiences and create and curate datasets for fine-tuning, evaluation, and monitoring of AI models.
• Manage cross-functional relationships to foster a culture of innovation and ensure the successful adoption of technologies and establish a robust, scalable, and secure technological and digital infrastructure.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and developments, applying this knowledge to improve internal processes and customer services and monitor external trends and competitive positioning.
• Design and recommend metrics to establish and track progress in development, testing, and production and establish measured KPIs, and reporting to monitor goal attainment and adherence to standards.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility, and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization.
• Supervise program management, ensuring strategic alignment and efficient execution of projects and develop, articulate, and execute a strategy focused on growth while managing risk.

Implement changes to processes/workflows, introducing new tools for efficiency and productivity gains and collaborate with IT, operations, and data analytics teams on AI tools and capabilities.          

• Overall 7+ years of experience in Data & Analytics, with a track record of enabling data transformation in the banking functions space.
• Proven exposure to AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI use cases with tangible business impact.
• Prior experience in financial services or other highly regulated sectors
• Prior experience with BI and can show tangible business impacts
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks, regulatory data lineage, and audit-readiness principles.
• Strong people leadership skills, able to build and scale high-performing analytics teams.
• Exceptional leadership capabilities and the ability to inspire innovation within cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in strategic planning, project management, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Bachelor's or master’s in data science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Certifications in AI/BI, cloud platforms, or analytics tools are a plus.
