Junior Electrical Engineer for Quantum Sensing

Skills & Experience

• Master's degree in electrical engineering, physics, or a closely related field.
• Good foundational knowledge of analog electronics, signal filtering techniques, and PCB design.
• Some practical experience with test benches and electronic measurement instruments (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, signal generators, etc.), possibly through internships or academic projects.
• Basic proficiency in Python, particularly for instrument control, automation, and data acquisition tasks.
• Interest or introductory experience in cryogenics, quantum devices, or medical imaging would be beneficial.
• Familiarity or introductory experience with electronic design software such as Altium Designer, Eagle, or similar is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design and optimization of low-noise analog electronic circuits for SQUID-based MRI detection systems under supervision.
• Assist in PCB development tasks, including selecting components for cryogenic-compatible electronic filters, superconducting transformers, post-amplification circuits, and their integration into the detection line.
• Perform measurements of electronic noise spectral densities (DC to microwaves) and assist in implementing processes for noise reduction.
• Clearly document experiments, designs, procedures, and integration steps.
• Operate and maintain a dry 2K cryostat with guidance and training provided in-house.
• Approximately 5% of your time will be dedicated to cross-team collaboration and support activities.
