What we do

At Helicon, we build digital products that matter. As a digital product development & innovation agency specializing in cleantech, we partner with forward-thinking businesses to build breakthrough digital products, platforms, and capabilities that drive sustainability and efficiency.

Who we are

Our journey has taken us from developing one of Sweden’s largest virtual power plants by connecting over 15,000 buildings, to using AI to optimize energy, water, and resource management around the world. We have also helped launch award-winning cleantech startups and SaaS solutions for the energy sector.

But we don’t just measure success by the impact we have on our customers. We measure it by the real-world sustainability gains our solutions create. When our customers tell us that our solutions helped shut down a coal and oil power plant, integrate more renewables into their portfolio, or cut 36,000 tons of CO₂ emissions annually, we take immense pride in that.

What truly drives us is our passion for solving complex challenges together by combining strategy, design, engineering, and data science. At Helicon, speed, curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning are at the heart of everything we do. If you’re passionate about technology and in using it to make a positive impact on our planet, you’ll fit right in with our team.

  • Be an integral part of the data science team, be a team player, and have a passion for building and sharing knowledge, especially knowledge that adds value to our clients

About you;

You are structured and self-going as a person and curious about the latest developments in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. You want to dig deeper into the field and apply the tools of data science to real client challenges. At the same time, you keep a strong business mindset while working to make sure we are always one step ahead.

What you’ll bring to the table;

    • Background from a quantitative field, such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering etc
    • +3 years of experience as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer, including expertise in Machine Learning and Deep Learning modeling
    • +3 years of experience working with the Python data science stack (Pandas, Dask Numpy, PyTorch, Keras, Tensorflow, Pyspark/Spark)
    • Experience working with time series analysis and forecasting
    • Knowledge of, and experience with, building pipelines for machine-learning models
    • Experience with developing and maintaining machine learning models
    • Experience using different databases and/or building data engineering pipelines
    • Experience with developing infrastructure and/or applications, preferably in relation to machine learning (MLOps)
    • Based in Stockholm with a valid work permit

What we offer

At Helicon, you can expect to work alongside truly tech-passionate people every day. What we do has a big impact on building a more efficient future, which gives us pride in our work. We foster a culture of humble collaboration, where we are always eager to learn and innovate. We prioritize balance between your job and private life and regularly host social activities like hackathons, after-work gatherings, yearly conferences, shuffleboard comps, and more!

Application

Even if you do not meet all the requirements, we encourage you to apply, as our number one priority is to hire the right people instead of nitty-gritty tech.

Our recruitment process usually consists of a first interview, a technical step followed by a business and culture-focused interview.
