Overview of Job Function:

The Associate Software Architect is pivotal in steering a group of talented software engineers towards the successful execution of R&D projects. This role involves a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills to manage the development lifecycle, mentor team members, and ensure that software deliverables are innovative, robust, and align with customer expectations. The Associate Architect will own the entire product starting from creation, deployment and monitoring for all technical aspects. The work involves adding support for new features as well as enhancing existing capabilities ranging from correcting problems and improving performance, to adding incremental capabilities to existing features. Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

• Work closely with team members and stakeholders for defining the architecture of the system/features, drive design review with stakeholders and lead development of system/features.
• Design and develop highly available, scalable, and fault tolerant systems following the best architectural principles.
• Leverage technical leadership to lead a team of focused engineers and apply your experience towards solving our most interesting architecture and implementation challenges in order to achieve stable performance under load with predictable SLA.
• Work in an Agile team, participate in improving development processes and improving the effectiveness of teamwork
• Open to use and explore advanced technologies while solving complex problems.
• Create a product for the most demanding users – other developers.
• Ability to innovate and execute
• Lead TagIt and DPA Cloud initiative product architecture. 
• Initial ramp up is expected to be based on small product issue resolution building to new feature development.
• Once team established and product knowledge at required level, lead the development and implementation of software projects from conception to deployment.
• Encourage innovation and the exploration of new technologies to enhance product capabilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues that arise during the development process.
• Manage the allocation of resources, including personnel and technology, to optimize productivity.
• Establish and monitor performance metrics to evaluate the success of software projects.
• Mentor and develop team members through coaching and career growth opportunities.
• Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages open communication and knowledge sharing.
• Make informed decisions that impact software projects and team dynamics.
• Address and resolve conflicts within the team to maintain a positive work environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Equivalent with 10+ years of experience in developing complex distributed systems using object-oriented concepts through Java/Spring Boot and data modelling.
• 8+ years’ experience working with .NET, C# /C++ and/or Java.
• 3+ years working experience with Python, Machine Learning technologies, NLP, Python libraries (Pandas, Keras, TensorFlow etc.) 
• Working experience of Cloud (preferably AWS) development.
• Working experience of UI/UX development using React js, HTML, Java Script.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in Computer Science/ Statistical Modelling & Analysis/Operations Research
• Strong experience of network protocol either in development or monitoring network through different network analyser’s. 
• Strong experience in solution architecture, leading design and implementation of robust and highly available and scalable systems/web services using object-oriented methodology, design patterns, SOA, microservices architecture, container technologies, container management/orchestration systems such as Kubernetes, Mesos, etc.
• Skilled in software development lifecycle processes and experience with scrum, agile.
• Experience building and deploying applications and services into cloud environments.
• Strong working experience with public cloud like AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka and SQL are a must.
