Data Analyst

The Candidate

In this hybrid role, you will bridge the gap between data analysis and business control. You will be responsible for for creating and managing Power BI dashboards, delivering key business insights, and supporting financial planning and decision-making processes. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both hands-on analytics and strategic thinking. As a Junior Business Controller at Caely, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data within our organization. You will be responsible for translating information from our trading database to both the front office (sales traders) and management facilitating informed decision-making processes. Additionally, you will conduct financial analyses to support business performance evaluation and strategic planning.

The Role

• Design, develop, and maintain insightful Power BI dashboards and reports to support the front office.
• Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including profitability analysis, cost efficiency, and forecasting.
• Compile the annual budgets in collaboration with senior management to ensure that processes support the organisation’s goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with the commercial to understand reporting needs and deliver data solutions
• Drive automation and continuous improvement of reporting processes
• Assist in financial modeling and scenario analysis.

The Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Data Science or related field.
• -3 years of experience in a data analyst, business controller, or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI
• Solid understanding of financial concepts, KPI’s, and business performance metrics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with reporting tools is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and discretion handling confidential information.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written; additional languages are advantageous.
• Based in or around Amsterdam, Netherlands.
