Who You Are:

We’re looking for an Analytics Engineer to help our marketplace business continue to innovate and grow. An ideal candidate will have professional experience building data models using tools like dbt, and business intelligence and data visualization experience with Omni or Looker. We are looking for an individual who has experience automating business processes, such as those for Accounting and Finance functions.

You should have a curious mind and an interest in how a marketplace business optimizes its growth, with a vision for how to ensure innovation, transparency, and cost-effectiveness at scale. Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop an expertise with our existing data model, extend and refine it as the business grows.
  • Build trusted, intuitive pipelines and datasets that make it easy for stakeholders to explore and analyze data.
  • Create clear, actionable dashboards and visualizations that help users make informed decisions and track KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, especially those around finance reporting and accounting reconciliations.
  • Analyze large volumes of transactional data, uncovering potential areas to maximize efficiency and enable continued growth.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Data Science.
  • 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, including data modeling, business intelligence, and related areas.
  • Experience working with a modern data stack (eg. Snowflake + dbt + Looker).
  • Strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Strongly Desired Attributes:

  • Interest in marketplace businesses.
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages, such as Python.
  • An understanding of how to automate manual business processes, including those involving Accounting/Finance.
  • Experience using analytical approaches to problem-solving with large volumes of data.
  • Experience with orchestrators like Dagster, Airflow, or Prefect.
  • Comfortable working in Git and managing version control in a collaborative, code-first environment.

The estimated pay range for this role, based in New York City, is $110,000 - $125,000. This role will be eligible to participate in our company's equity program. Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits, and other reward opportunities we provide.

Individual pay rate decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skill set, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
