As Teamlead Data, you will lead and develop a team of data professionals while driving the technical and strategic direction of our data ecosystem. You will be responsible for team management, technical decision-making, and ensuring the seamless integration of data products into the Shipcloud platform.
  • Coach, mentor, and manage a team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists.
  • Define and execute a data strategy aligned with business needs and product management
    • Identify opportunities to leverage data and develop scalable data products that create value for the organization.
    • Ensure seamless integration of data products into the Shipcloud platform.
  • Take ownership of analytics projects, prioritize initiatives, and ensure data is used effectively to solve business challenges.
  • Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to understand business objectives and to prioritize and orchestrate data-related initiatives.
  • Maintain an overview of all data products, data pipelines and infrastructure to ensure reliability and scalability.
  • Evaluate new services and technologies to optimize daily operations (e.g. data governance, quality and security).
  • Drive technical decision-making within the team.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and managing data products
  • Experience in analytics and dashboarding tools (QuickSight, Power BI, or similar).
  • Strong background in Python, SQL and experience with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS).
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computational Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
  • Broad process competence and familiarity with market standards and trends.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a proactive and team-oriented mindset.
  • Fluent English (German or Dutch is a plus).

  • Experience in data engineering (real-time data processing (Kinesis, Kafta, etc.)), data science (ML or Predictive Analyitcs) or a related field.
