Job Title

Data Analyst (Reservation)

This role is to be located in San Jose, Costa Rica and will not provide sponsership

Purpose of the Role:

The Airline Reservation & Reference Data team is responsible for integrating and configuring all reservation data in production across all business units.

The team ensures the integration of reservation content, maintains database integrity, and provides the necessary database expertise for customer product activations and daily operations. This includes:

  • Customer Data: Airline configuration, connecting times, schedules, and availability-related products.

  • Reference Data (Industry Mandates): Governance and maintenance of airline designators, location identifiers, geocodes, etc.

We participate in all customer implementations and migrations, either as owners or contributors. We also provide third-level support, coordinating complex data-related incident resolution with product experts and R&D.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Data Maintenance & Data Management activities:

    • Verify that correct and appropriate data is received from customers and providers as defined by SLA.

    • Ensure the integrity of product-related data according to products and customer segments.

    • Provide quality analysis, quality checks, and monitoring on product implementation projects.

    • Support production by addressing and monitoring data problems (IRs/PTRs) while respecting SLA.

  • After gaining recognized experience, the Data Analyst is also responsible for sharing knowledge and adding value to customers:

    • Provide content management training/workshops to Amadeus staff.

    • Improve product usage by customers through audits, recommendations, and workshops.

    • Review and enhance processes and procedures to achieve better knowledge transfer.

  • At a higher level of successful practices and knowledge sharing, experienced incumbents are responsible for managing projects autonomously:

    • Deliver consultancies/services in their domain.

    • Review and enhance processes and procedures to achieve better knowledge transfer.

    • Provide consultancy to optimize customer operations through audits, recommendations, pre-sales actions, workshops, and training for appropriate audiences.

    • Identify, develop, and build new services to deliver to customers.

    • Plan and manage "Data Management" projects within expected quality, timing, and budget.

    • Continuously communicate and develop their expertise recognition to customers and internal clients.

  • Work using existing procedures or guidelines, providing input to support area decisions. Make recommendations for new solutions and suggest improvements by analyzing various sources of information.

Relevant Work Experience:

  • Experience in data management and maintenance, ensuring data integrity and quality.

  • Proven track record of supporting production environments and resolving complex data-related issues.

  • Experience in delivering training and workshops to internal staff and customers.

  • Demonstrated ability to improve product usage and processes through audits and recommendations.

  • Successful management of data management projects, ensuring they meet quality, timing, and budget expectations.

  • Experience in providing consultancy services to optimize customer operations and develop new services.
