Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst / BI Developer with a robust background in Business Intelligence, Data Visualization tools and Data Science, to be integrated in BI&DS Chapter, of the Data Management and BI Team, on IT GBCR Department within the CIB business unit. 

The successful candidate will work with data from different stages of Financing Deals lifecycle, to maintain and develop dashboards used by the Business and will apply different methodologies to extract meaningful insights from our datasets. This role requires the assurance of data consistency and accuracy, providing an excellent user experience, and adhering to security standards. 

In this role, the candidate will have to work in close communication with Business Users, Product Owners, Data Domain Owners, and other members of the Data Management and BI Team including BI Developers, Big Data Engineers, and Business Analysts. 

Roles and responsibilities: 

• Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive and visually compelling dashboards in Power BI, focusing on user experience and data storytelling. 

• Engage with Business Users and other BI&DS Team Members to gather and refine requirements. 

• Analyze and evaluate different design solutions to enhance the usability and effectiveness of dashboards, employing data-driven design principles. 

• Investigate data discrepancies and lead initiatives towards their resolution. 

• Interpret and optimize existing data models to improve data flow, reporting capabilities, and performance metrics. 

• Apply data science techniques, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning, to derive insights and enhance decision-making processes. 

• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends and inform dashboard design. 

• Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in data visualization, BI tools, and data science methodologies. 

Qualifications

In addition, the candidate should have: 

• Significant experience (6+ years) as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Data Engineer, or in a similar senior role. 

• Strong knowledge of business intelligence methodologies, particularly in data visualization (must have). 

• Proficiency in Power BI and experience in developing and managing BI reports. 

• Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and performance tuning. 

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and modeling. 

• Good to have experience with Bitbucket or similar version control systems. 

• Experience with Power Automate automating workflows and integrating applications. 

• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical methods to support data-driven decision-making. 

• Excellent communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly. 

• Good level of English (at least C1).
