Manager - Data Governance (Budapest)

 

Role purpose:

This role involves engaging with Group and Local Markets key stakeholders to address various management reporting topics, resolve complex queries, and make informed decisions. The candidate will review and simplify reporting items, present proposals, and ensure they are fit for purpose while actively participating in discussions with Group and Local Markets teams. Additionally, the role requires managing data governance processes, ensuring priority KPIs are included, and representing the D&A team in Design Authority calls.

What you’ll do

Key Responsibilities:

•    Regular discussions with Group and OpCo key stakeholders on a variety of reporting topics (existing and new) with decisions involved most of the time.
•    Resolution of complex reporting queries, with liaison with relevant stakeholders when necessary, and ultimately making the decision.
•    Regular review of reporting items, including reported data, that translates in concrete simplification proposals.
•    Discussion with relevant stakeholders that usually involves challenging Group teams using supporting data, business rationale and OpCo feedback.
•    Ensure that proposals are fit for purpose and that they include all necessary information for decision. Check consistency with the overall reporting landscape. Actively participate in the discussions with Group and Opco teams.
•    Present proposals and facilitate the discussion, providing insights and clarifying reporting topics when necessary.
•    Inform the wider community of the MI Board decisions and reporting expectations.
•    Participate in the monthly Data Quality calls with stakeholders.

Who you are

Core competencies, knowledge and experience

•    10+ years’ experience in data management, management information, reporting, financial controlling, decision support, change management
•    Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including senior management (E and F band).
•    Accounting Expertise: Strong background in accounting principles and practices.
•    Data Management & Reporting: Proficiency in data management and management reporting.
•    Analytical Mindset: Possess an analytical mindset with the ability to maintain a helicopter view.
•    Telco Business Experience: Experience and knowledge in the telecommunications industry


Must have technical / professional qualifications: 
•    Qualification in Financial management / Accounting / Economy / Management / Controlling
•    Experience with reporting systems – i.e.: HFM, Essbase
•    Familiar with visualization tools for financial & non-financial results – i.e.: QlikView, QlikSense, Tableau, Micro Strategy, OBIEE, Power BI
•    Experience with Financial Planning
