Job Summary
As a Senior Data Engineer (14449), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software applications. Your role will involve leading technical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and continuously improving software development practices to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Apache Flink for stream and batch processing
- Implement and maintain Kafka Connect connectors for seamless data integration
- Build and maintain data infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Design and optimize BigQuery tables, views, and stored procedures
Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive experience in software development with a focus on designing and building scalable applications.
- Professional/ Advanced English skills.
- +5 years of experience.
- Master's degree in computer science or related field
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Kafka Infrastructure (i.e. managing and configuring Kafka components)
- Experience with other stream processing frameworks (Spark Streaming, Kafka Streams)
- Knowledge of data governance and security best practices
- Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform services, particularly:
- Google Cloud Storage
