Remote - AI Software Developer (Amazon Bedrock Experience Required)

We’re Stack Builders, a US software consultancy based in New York, Quito, and Madrid. We work together to deliver high-quality, pragmatic software solutions for our international client base, and we’re looking to grow our dedicated, diverse team. We’re currently seeking an experienced AI Software Developer to join us! 

This remote contractor role requires hands-on expertise with Amazon Bedrock, excellent communication skills, and a firm grasp of modern software development practices. You will work directly with the client’s product and engineering teams to design, build, and scale AI-powered applications in the canine genetic testing industry.

Requirements

• Ability to work as a contractor, preferably in Canada, Colombia, Brazil, or Argentina. 
• For US applicants, the ability to work as an independent contractor under an LLC, C-Corp, or S-Corp.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a field relevant to the role.
• 3+ years of experience in software development.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Bedrock and proven ability to build and deploy applications using foundation models.
• Strong development skills, preferably in Python, TypeScript, Node.js, React, or similar languages.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Time zone overlap with Eastern Standard Time (EST).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice-to-Have

• Familiarity with AWS services beyond Bedrock (e.g., Lambda, S3, SageMaker).
• Experience in prompt engineering or fine-tuning foundation models.
• Experience in software consulting or client-facing development roles.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software solutions powered by Amazon Bedrock.
• Build and fine-tune generative AI workflows and integrations into existing systems.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to define scope and deliverables.
• Communicate clearly and proactively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following best practices.
