THE POSITION

FanDuel is looking for a Commercial Analyst to  drive business performance with actionable insights, models and solutions. You will play a key role on the Sportsbook Commercial team by presenting analysis to stakeholders that will be clear, effective, and accurate. You will also collaborate with multiple departments within the company including, but not limited to Commercial, VIP, Marketing, Product, Data Science, R&T, Customer Service and Responsible Gaming. This is an exciting opportunity to help drive strategic initiatives at FanDuel.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

THE GAME PLAN

• Work as an individual contributor to take on the more ambiguous and technically challenging analytics problems within FanDuel Group
• Use data and a range of analytic techniques to answer questions about business performance
• Produce analysis and models to explain historic and project future results
• Own tools and models that govern measurement of business performance, ensuring they are complete, accurate and regularly reviewed and refreshed
• Serve as an exemplary partner to other analysts through coaching on analysis techniques and insights presentation
• Generate and communicate project timelines and plans for projects to manage workload and stakeholder expectations
• Provide mentoring to analysts within your team

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

• 2+ years’ experience in an analytical role such as marketing/business analytics
• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field (Math, Statistics, Economics) is preferred. Master’s degree a plus.
• Strong personal organizational and time management skills, able to juggle multiple complex projects
• Proficiency in SQL and Excel required
• Experience with one other programming language for data analysis and exploration Python, R, or Spark preferred
• Demonstrated experience using data visualization software to convey analysis in an easy to digest format
• Experience working with Tableau for data visualization preferred
• Experience using a variety of modelling approaches to forecast future customer and business behavior
• Strong verbal and written communication skills - demonstrable track record of influencing up, down and across organizations
• Experience collaboratively working with colleagues in other countries and time zones
• Knowledge of sports and/or experience working within a heavily regulated industry is a plus

The applicable salary range for this position is $79,000 - $99,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
