Locations: This role will require a 3-day hybrid on-site work schedule in one of our primary Citizens hubs including: Johnston, RI or Westwood, MA.

Role Overview: The Data Management Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's data management processes and ensuring data integrity, availability, and security for defined data domains, in this case Consumer Lending. This role involves managing a team of data management professionals and collaborating with other departments to support data-related initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Setting Standards and Governance: Establish enterprise-wide standards for data management, including metadata, master data, and policy management for the Consumer Lending data domain.
  • Data Quality and Security: Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all Consumer Lending systems and databases.
  • Data Storage Management: Oversee data storage, backup, and recovery processes for Consumer Lending domain in AWS DataLake.
  • Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Skills Required:

  • Data Analysis: Analyze data, highlight trends, and provide recommendations using tools like SQL, Python, DBeaver, and Starburst.
  • Programming and Scripting: Develop code to query data sets using languages such as JavaScript, HTML, SQL, and Python.
  • Data Gathering and Reporting: Collect and report data using various tools and techniques.
  • Business Data Analysis: Analyze business data to support strategic decisions.
  • Data Architecture: Design and implement frameworks for data strategy.
  • Data Governance: Ensure high data quality for the Consumer Lending Data Domain throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Data Modeling: Suggest appropriate data models to ensure efficient data use.
  • Technical Writing: Document technical information adhering to company standards.
  • Data Quality: Develop quality assurance methods and ensure data is fit for use.

Experience and Skills:

  • 10 or more years of experience in data management or related roles, preferably in a data or advanced analytics capacity.
  • Strong understanding of data management, analytics, and product development methodologies.
  • Strong technical literacy in order to drive modern and nimble delivery (i.e., SQL, Python, AWS, etc.).
  • Experience with Agile development practices and tools.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Investments and/or Finance, or related field. Master's degree in similar fields strongly preferred.
  • Master's work in Investment and/or Financial disciplines a plus.

Hours & Work Schedule:

  • Hours per Week: 40 [3 Days per week in office minimum]
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $175,000 - $205,000 per year  plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
