Senior ML Engineer (with strong software engineer focus)

The Corporate Engineering AI team develops AI Applications to support the LSEG business. The team has an engineering focus, leveraging a variety of AI/ML techniques in order to solve business challenges! Our stack is constantly changing but currently, we build on Kubernetes in AWS, leveraging technologies including Haystack, Weaviate, and LangChain!

We’re looking to add a Senior ML Engineer to the team to help us develop our applications.  Our ideal candidate will be a strong Python developer who is able to work well with others and learn quickly.  Experience building AI/ML solutions would be a big plus.

The Corporate Engineering AI team currently develop and maintain three Generative AI products - the Question Answering Service, the AI Assistant, and the Generative AI Services Builder.  The Question Answering Service is a Retrieval Augmented Generation solution built using opensource components such as Haystack, Weaviate and the Llama series Large Language Models.  The AI Assistant is an agentic solution using LangChain, LangFuse.  The Generative AI Services Builder is a platform to support internal teams getting started with Generative AI.

 

Role Purpose:

• Implement, maintain, and support AI/ML applications

Key Responsibilities:

• Write Python code to help implement AI/ML applications
• Develop and manage data ingestion pipelines
• Actively research the latest AI/ML approaches
• Contribute to solution design
• Develop and manage model release pipelines
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders to achieve business goals

Requirements:

• Prior experience in python software development required
• Prior kubernetes experience

Compensation/Benefits Information:

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $141,000 - $235,000.

Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/”bonus plan”). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience.
