Supply Chain Data Analyst

Job Description

AltaGas is seeking a Supply Chain Data Analyst with a passion and interest in procurement, strategic sourcing and supply chain management.  You will work closely with Category Managers and other Supply Chain Mangement (SCM) leaders to support high-quality, data-driven reporting, analysis, insights (e.g., performance, risks and opportunities) and related decisions.

This position can be based out of the AltaGas Calgary office or the Washington Gas Springfield Operations Center in Northern Virginia.  It is a hybrid role that allows for some remote work.

You Will:

• Be responsible for data collection from various financial and management systems, data cleansing, modeling and analysis, and creation of dashboards and reports. 
• Support developing the data management strategy, implementation, tracking and reporting of performance indicators, data interpretation and visualization.
• Train internal team members and stakeholders on various tools and applications. 
• Support the SCM team in the areas of spend, cost and supply market intelligence, and demand and category planning, and coordinates with other stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Digital / IT, business units, etc.) to ensure continued functionality and accuracy of data systems and tools.

You Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Finance or Supply Chain Management focus preferred)
• 0-3 years of relevant experience in data analytics and/or Supply Chain Management required
• Data management and analysis experience, with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SQL, Power BI and/or other related BI tools preferred
• Ability to think analytically and perform financial analysis
• Ability to listen, be curious and ask good questions
• Ability to collaborate, develop and maintain good working relationships with teammates and business partners
• Takes initiative, able to prioritize, manage their time, and support multiple projects
• Strong written and oral communication skills, able to present to small groups
• Pays attention to details, notices inconsistencies and potential risks
• Likes solving problems

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $94,250 USD per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
