Work You’ll Do

As a Graph Database Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of graph database solutions that power mission-critical intelligence applications. You will architect graphs that model complex relationships within data, enabling advanced analytics, pattern recognition, and discovery capabilities that traditional databases cannot support. Your expertise will drive the development of graph-based applications that reveal hidden connections and deliver actionable insights to analysts and decision-makers. You’ll work across teams to translate domain knowledge into effective graph schemas, develop high-performance queries, and build intuitive interfaces that make complex relational data accessible. This role requires a unique blend of database expertise, software development skills, and an understanding of how to represent and analyze connected data.

The GPS AI & Data Operations offering is responsible for developing advanced analytics products and applying data visualization and statistical programming tools to enterprise data in order to advance and enable the key mission outcomes for our clients. Our team supports all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions through data collection and ETL, and from performing analyses and using a wide range of statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to delivery insights to decision-makers. Our practitioners give special attention to the interplay between data and the business processes that produce it and the decision-makers that consume insights.

Qualifications

Required:

·       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or related fields

·       Must live (or be willing to relocate to) the DC Metro area, and willing to report on client site 3-4x a week

·       6+ years of experience in graph data engineering

·       6+ years of experience with graph data engineering fundamentals including: graph data modeling, graph data architecture, and graph visualizations

·       6+ years of experience with graph query language demonstrated by expertise in one or more graph query languages such as Cypher (Neo4j), Gremlin (Apache TinkerPop), SPARQL, or GraphQL for complex data retrieval and manipulation

·       6+ years of experience in data migration and ETL

·       Must have an Active TS/SCI or above government security clearance

·       Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred:

·       4+ years of prior professional services or federal consulting experience

·       2+ years of experience with DevOps environments.

·       AWS experience

·       Creativity and innovation – desire to learn and apply new technologies, products, and libraries

·       Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

·       Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with team members.
