Job Description:

This position requires office presence for a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

As a Lead Advanced Analytics professional, you will dive deep into AT&T Business billing and revenue data to identify leakage and areas for optimizing revenue capture. This role requires engineering data from diverse sources and using advanced predictive modeling, statistics, and trend analysis. You will gather, analyze, and interpret diverse data sets to solve business problems, support decision-making, and generate actionable insights. Additionally, you will develop visualizations such as dashboards and reports, advise business partners on data patterns, and streamline operational procedures to enhance productivity and operational effectiveness.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis and Interpretation: Gather, analyze, and interpret diverse data sets to solve a variety of business problems, predict behaviors, and identify relationships, trigger points, and predictions. Proficient with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL) and data warehouse storage solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks Data Lake), utilizing sources such as internal and external data lakes and data warehouses (e.g., eCDW, BIDW).
• Statistical Methods and Decision Support: Apply advanced statistical methods to quantify data variances and employ traditional modeling techniques to support decision-making. Utilize tools such as Tableau, Palantir, PowerBI (AI Insights), Databricks, AWS, Azure.
• Business Case Development and Analytics Tools: Develop business cases and create complex models using big data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI AI Insights, Databricks). Build and test predictive models (e.g., Linear/Logistic Regression, Time Series) and verify their accuracy in real-world scenarios, making recommendations for process, financial, and business model improvements.
• Reporting and Business Insights: Develop visualizations such as dashboards, reports, and charts. Advise business partners on data patterns and relationships to recommend strategic directions and business outcomes.
• Operational Efficiency and Cost Savings: Optimize operational efficiency by creating in-house solutions that contribute to significant cost reductions and enhanced resource utilization.
• Procedure Streamlining and Automation: Streamline operational procedures, reducing manual work and increasing productivity and operational effectiveness.
• Data Handling Expertise: Ensure accurate data handling and analysis as a subject matter expert for Mediation and Data Garage, maintaining data integrity and reliability across the organization.
• Metrics Modernization and Compliance: Modernize operations metrics, manage vendor planning and annual industry modifications, and support compliance and business transformation initiatives, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Revenue Assurance and Error Management: Oversee intercarrier and intracompany error management to ensure accurate billing, prevent revenue leakage, and maintain high billing accuracy for over 250 billion records.
• Client and Business Collaboration: Work directly with client user community and business analysts to define requirements and identify/map/extract data to support various business needs. Support data selection, extraction, and cleansing from enterprise data warehouse and data marts. Extract and analyze data from specific applications, systems, and/or databases to create reports and provide recommendations based on the analysis of the data. Investigate and resolve data issues across platforms and data marts, including discrepancies of definition, format, and function.

Qualifications:

• Preferred Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Math, or Sciences; Data Analytics nanodegree; or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in ETL processes from data-stores like Snowflake, ADLS, and Databricks.
• Strong SQL skills, building Tableau, PowerBI reports and dashboard creation, and familiarity with large data sets.
• Expertise in scripting languages like Python, KSH, and Bash for automation is a strong plus.
• Experience with company billing/customer data-sets is a plus.
• Proven experience in using data to make business decisions, visualization using PowerBI, and employing data mining/analytics techniques to achieve business insights, enable POCs, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and possess strong communication skills.
• Advanced Level Microsoft Excel (vba & macros, pivots, formulas)
